Does anyone know of any green lanes where you can take quad and bikes, apart from Wayfairers in Oswestry, (nice ride)

Apparently your local council website are suppose to have a map which shows all byways etc by law now.
They are also marked on ordinance survey maps but I think word of mouth is often best as its always good to get little tips about the green lane, like condition and gypsy camps ;D
Andy username on QH (4wheelsgood) knows quite a few around Northamptonshire area, he turns up at Sibb sometimes, maybe worth having a word with him m8.
Sorry I cant help more mate but Im not from that neck of the woods.

i sent this to
Julie Bishop Assistant Rights of Way Officer Derbyshire County Council
Hi There were a group of us on quad bikes doing some greenlaneing at the weekend on the OS Leisure maps sheet 1 and 24 around Derbyshire, some of us got Punctures from U-shaped round wire nails, we think they were put down deliberately by walkers or farmers. We are not sure which lanes we picked them up from but if you could let other motorised vehicles users know to be a wear that would be grateful. As this is Dangerous it could cause somebody harm, injury, or loss Regards Kevin Lloyd
got this back
Kevin If you mark up a plan on which greenlanes you did ride on at the weekend that would be useful to see if any other complaints come in so we can locate the problem lane. Thanks Julie Bishop

a bit more back from Julie Bishop Assistant Rights of Way Officer Derbyshire County Council
Kevin The plan you sent has not come through correctly on email, but from the grid references you gave I believe you mean the High Rake route If yes, this route is known as Great Longstone Restricted Byway Number 22, and as such is limited to non-motorised vehicles. However if there are nails on the route this would also affect any cyclist or horse riders and as such would you please let me know if I'm correct in my assumption so we can address this. Thanks Julie Bishop
