I use a garmin, i will show you next sunday £90 and you get a cover with it not waterproof but you can just cover it with cling film touch screen and good battery back up.
Its now possible to import off road maps to sat navs too so this may be worthwhile looking inot as well.
;D ;D

I use this one, it is kinda expensive but can be found cheaper than on the link below. Nice bit of kit, it links to my in helmet bluetooth headset and connects to my phone so calls can be answered or made whilst riding. Mine as around 30 albums on it for those boring long drags lol It as that many features to mention. Waterproof and comes with car kit too. www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/details/garmin-zumo-550/10284/

I have a 550 zumo as well, didn't know you had one m8!
Don't think it's overly complex, it will do as much as you want it too or just use it for A to B stuff, input is simple and it takes full postcode.
My other choice at the time was a 'Tomtom Rider V2' if you do a lot of mileage and want to add traffic avoidance for use in the car than the Tomtom is the one to go for. They both transfer between bike and car really easily.

Andy did yoiu put the power connection on your bike for the zumo or does the battery last long enough on the nav unit?
I will stick a little thing in the post with the other stuff; it's a replacement security screw with a big knurled head on it so you can use it easily with your fingers rather than f'ing about with that security screwdriver thing.

I connected it up to the battery as my navigational skills are shit! and if battery went whilst I was out I would be lost forever...plus I have mp3 player on neally all the time lol a bit of Bat Outa Hell Meatloaf whilst out riding keeps the adrenlin flowing ;D ;D Good idea about screw, never used the one they sent with it.
